The Vasquez Compatibility Test (VCT) is a seven-item self-report instrument developed in 2026 to assess a respondent's suitability for association with Robert Vasquez. Items are scored 0–3 and summed to a maximum of 21, expressed as a percentage.[1]
It has no norm group, no validation study and no control condition, and is administered by the respondent on a website written by the person being screened for. None of this is concealed.[2]

Items weight toward three things visible elsewhere in the record: willingness to reconsider a default, willingness to engage rather than withdraw, and tolerance for intensity. Responses indicating conventionality score 0; responses indicating engagement score 2–3.
The third construct is the load-bearing one. It is the same disposition described in The Giver § Consequences and in the one-to-one aim — feel something, tension, passion — rendered as a multiple-choice question.
The scoring key is transparent to anyone reading the options, making the instrument trivially gameable. The developer's assessment of this was “fine.”[1]

No validity evidence has been published. The instrument correlates strongly with itself and with nothing else.[2] A test written by the person it selects for is, in the technical literature, called a preference.
